Our Story
Mathematics has long been one of the most feared subjects among Tanzanian secondary school students. Year after year, NECTA results tell the same story: thousands of students struggling with a subject that holds the key to their future.
For two mathematics teachers from the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE), class of 2014, this was not just a statistic. It was something they witnessed personally in Tanzanian classrooms for over 11 years.
As they taught, they noticed something: the same students who avoided mathematics textbooks could spend hours on their smartphones. Rather than seeing this as a problem, they saw an opportunity – bring quality mathematics education to the very devices students already love.
This insight became DLiMS, an idea born in 2020 and built on over a decade of real classroom experience. Every note, every exam, every solution on this platform reflects what two practicing Tanzanian mathematics teachers know students truly need to succeed.
